St. John’s Wort, Trash, and Hero

I’m really tired, so if this borders on completely horribly typoed and completely insane, I’m terribly sorry.

Work last night was OK. Same as it ever was, really. Yesterday I slept for about an hour on my shift, which was nice. Tonight there was a bit more to do, kind of, as there was one less person, kind of, and it was enjoyable. My habit of playing Ro Sham Bo has extended to Sara and I doing it nearly religiously to decide all sorts of things. We don’t do the version Raffi and I do, which is the hand smashing kind from “Feeling Minnesota”, a movie both him and I have never seen but have heard about from Tina.

Sara asked about my daughter, and was satisfied with my answer, which mostly ended on a, “I don’t really like to think about it too much,” and a, “Shit happens,” sort of note. Tina brought it up later, luckily without Sara around, and got into the money aspect of it which mostly turned out the way it usually does with people, the giving advice, of which I’ve found everyone has their own version of, and no one apparently can agree on a unified theory of child support payment, and me nodding and agreeing and then running away to prevent hanging myself in the pharmacy.

At this point it mostly just makes me sad. Why do things always have to get so stupid? Is it unavoidable? I know we’re human and all that, but Jesus, sometimes. If Jesus did die to save us all from eternal damnation, why the fuck did he ever bother if we’re such a foolish bunch of flawed creatures? I think we all deserve to burn.

Well, on that positive cheery note, uh…

I went to Wal-Mart after work so I could buy myself some body wash, as I totally ran out today showering. Well, more like I ran out yesterday, and then I realized today, when I couldn’t properly wash myself and felt dirty all night, that it might be a good idea to buy some more. I spotted some cheap Kleenex tissues on my way in the door and picked those up. Then, I remembered I needed a new body wash sponge thing, as I am a girlie man. Also, I’ve wanted to get a little wastebasket for my room as I love to throw trash everywhere. Oh, and some garbage bags too. Oh, hey, and look, I’ve been meaning to try St. John’s Wort too, just for shits and giggles, let’s get some of that as well… Ooh! Cookies! Had to get some of those.

I had it all rang up and asked for $20 cash back without really looking at the total. With all the crap I packed into the little wastebasket I was carrying around, the total withdrawal on my bank account is only $38. That means my total price for all the items was only $18. I find that weird, as the wastebasket was on the shelf for like $5. The body wash was nearly $5. The trash bags were like $3. The St. John’s Wort was $5. The Kleenex was $3. The bath sponge had to have been at least for $4. I don’t know where she went wrong but I think I got off super cheap. That makes me happy.

So I took my $20 and I had Subway for lunch before going and seeing Hero.

So, hmm, Hero. I’m not sure why I went and saw this aside from hearing it was good from a lot of places. I can’t really say much about the movie. I’ll just make a little nice looking bullet list of good points. No, wait, no I wont. It wont be a nice looking list after all. I’ll just say one thing about Hero.

If you have even the slightest most remote interest of seeing Hero, you should see it in the theater. You would rob yourself by watching it on DVD unless you own your own theater or something. Go, go and see it in the theater. Don’t be a retarded goon and wait for the DVD.

That’s all.
