Random People
I spent most of today so far pissed off the world and hanging out at Borders. I read through Robert’s Rules Of Writing which was interesting and had some good points. Definitely recommend it, actually. And by recommend it, I don’t mean “go to the store and buy it” because, well, you can go to Borders and read the whole thing in an hour just sitting there. So, go do that. God bless Borders for that.
I did, however, decide to spend money I don’t have. I bought Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said which is what I went there planning to buy. I didn’t, however, plan to buy Jean-Yves Leloup’s The Gospel of Thomas. (I love his name, Leloup, I mean, shit, you just can’t make that up.) He offers a new translation of The Gospel of Thomas that I skimmed through and must say, I like it a lot more than any other translation I’ve read through. (And I’ve read through a few.) His interpretations of each “logia” is wordy and, though I haven’t gotten through any of them yet, I think they’ll be a valuable tool in my apparent fascination with this gospel. A tool for what? Fuck if I know. If I did know, I wouldn’t tell you any way. Leloup has a killer beard, too.
A little shoutout to Borders for being so awesome as to put price tags on their books that you can actually remove without fucking up the covers.
You know, re-”opening” Electric Biscuit has sort of reminded me of why I was happy to delete everything off of it in the first place. I demonstrate via this conversation I just had on AIM.

I had someone message me the other day warning me of the dangers of DXM and I politely pointed out to them that if they actually bothered to explore the site that they would have found that those AIM files are over five years old, and furthermore stated that I was well aware of the dangers of DXM even at that very young age.
Stupid people. Christ.
HA you’re old
