When I was about, I guess, twelve years old, I went to a psychatrist. I thought I needed to since I felt depressed and suicidal, etc. He wore really thick glasses, but most of the time he left them off.

I asked him once about it, “Why aren’t you wearing your glasses?”

He explained, “I think the world is a lot easier to take when you can’t see anything.”
