Fable: The Lost Chapters (PC)

• Monday, January 30th, 2006 • 12 Comments

Fable was originally an Xbox game. They ported it to PC and added extra content.

Course, little did I know, when they ported it, they removed all gamepad support.

The game is shit to control with a mouse and keyboard… and they don’t even give you the option of using a gamepad.

I love their excuse for dumping [...]

Trust

(*Disclaimer*: I wrote this when I was really tired. Usually I write my best when I’m really tired, so all this writing is probably flawless. Self-doubt is the destroyer of brilliance. — Brad Root, yes you can quote me on that, because it’s brilliant and I don’t doubt it.)

Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever be [...]

Red Eye

• Thursday, January 26th, 2006 • No Comments

Perhaps this exposes my skewed outlook on life, but when presented with a situation in which an obviously dangerous man was telling me to make one phone call in order to spare my father from a potentially brutal murder… you know what I would do? I would make the fucking phone call, regardless of how [...]

Yay for Movies

• Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 • No Comments

I just found out that one of the funniest books I’ve ever read is now a movie: Thank You For Smoking. Seeing that the director has a good amount of films I’ve never heard of under his belt, I’m a little worried… but some Christopher Buckley movie is better than no Christopher Buckley movie. Apparently [...]

Vatican says, “ID is Stupid”

• Sunday, January 22nd, 2006 • No Comments

The Vatican newspaper has published an article saying “intelligent design” is not science and that teaching it alongside evolutionary theory in school classrooms only creates confusion.

from “Vatican paper raps ‘intelligent design’”

Well thank you Vatican for putting an official spin on it. Now, if only all the religious zealot nutjobs living in America would listen to [...]

Doom (2005)

• Sunday, January 22nd, 2006 • No Comments

As someone who grew up playing Doom, the only complaints I can make about the Doom movie are the fact that Imps don’t throw fireballs, and Hell has no part in the plot. But, those things aren’t really a big deal when you think about the overall goodness that it is.

I guess a lot of [...]

Chatsum Beta

• Saturday, January 21st, 2006 • No Comments

As with anyone who cared that much, I’m in the Chatsum beta, and I’m happy to say that it’s actually pretty good. I remember products like this in the past that were clumbsy, or just downright shitty… I can’t even recall the names of them, but they were bad, believe me. Chatsum, however, is nifty [...]

Electroplankton (With Video!)

• Thursday, January 19th, 2006 • No Comments

I got Electroplankton in the mail today, finally. For those not in the know, Electroplankton is a toy (not really a game) for the Nintendo DS. In it, you control and manipulate “plankton” that make musical sounds. This isn’t really something you can explain to people, it’s something that needs to be seen, if not [...]
