I got Electroplankton in the mail today, finally. For those not in the know, Electroplankton is a toy (not really a game) for the Nintendo DS. In it, you control and manipulate “plankton” that make musical sounds. This isn’t really something you can explain to people, it’s something that needs to be seen, if not experienced first hand. So, I figured I’d take a little video.

Clocking in at about 4mb… it’s a terrible video and I should be shot in the face. It’s my camera’s inability to macro focus on videos. Fucking shit.

Hanenbow, featured second in the video, is by far my favorite. Featuring several different leaf configurations, I can spend at least twenty minutes a sitting just fiddling around, and on occasion I end up with something that can bring a wide smile to my face unlike anything else. I do believe there is a little something for everyone in this toy, and it is definitely worth checking out… if only to show it to other people and see the child-like expressions they wear while playing with it.
