Fable: The Lost Chapters (PC)
Fable was originally an Xbox game. They ported it to PC and added extra content.
Course, little did I know, when they ported it, they removed all gamepad support.
The game is shit to control with a mouse and keyboard… and they don’t even give you the option of using a gamepad.
I love their excuse for dumping PC gamepad support completely and refusing to patch it in, “We’d have to redo the UI and HUD.”
Yeah, like every other developer who’s made a game that supports gamepads, they’ve totally had to redesign everything… No, sorry, not true. Need for Speed: Most Wanted’s interface is extremely PC-centric (on all platforms, console too), and it works great with gamepads.
Fuck you Lionhead. You can eat my shit and fucking die, you lazy goddamn pieces of shit. Yes, I’m really angry over this.

U’re absolutely right! this sucks a lot. WTF were they thinking!? I’m still playing it with kb/mouse but it’s terrible to change magics!

You so right guys. I trying to get my pad working with it just now. Fingers crossed. Fact is pc games are rarely comming with gamepad support now. I just dont understand it??? Bring back the Amiga days!

yeah no gamepad
is way lame, its a
must for any 3rd person
game.. well just thought
i’d share that if u have
logitech dual axis pad
you should have
a profiler, in controll
panels that allows you to
bind the keys and mouse
buttons used by the games exe
to your control pad, its
definitaley not the best
way to play but it helps
later u angry bastards ha

I wish I would have seen this site 2 days ago when I bought Fable for PC and a gamepad.
I wonder if there is anyway to modifiy this or if there is a patch out there that would allow us to use a gamepad.

Yea got the game few days ago, im going to try my hand with the profiler. The game UI and HUD dosnt need changes it just needs the extra options (for joypad) XD.

u can use the program ControlMK to bind any gamepads buttons to keys on ur keyboard, mouse and mouse movements. its a little complicated, but it works fine, once u have set it up correctly.
im using a xbox360 gamepad to play fable on my comp….. its a lot better then keyboard/mouse combination.

DAMN STRAIGHT!
I just finished jade empire two days ago and needed an rpg fix that I could play with the joypad.. I just find the keyboardmouse combi very veeery uncomfertable for long hours dont ask me why! :(
I have the logitech dual rumble thing with profiler.. I’ll try and use that.. If I can use it for every game I’d be very happy :)

hello guys… I had the same problem and searched for a solution… and I’ve found one… By the way, I think a game, which doesn’t support control by a gamepad isn’t nice to play… I tried it, forgot about this!
But now to my solution, I don’t know if it is the one and only tool but try xpadder. I loved it, because every game can now be controlled by my gamepad! Thanks god! and for those who interested in the tool, here is the link http://www.xpadder.com/download.html
Enjoy your new experience with really good games but shit controlling!

Anyone using the XBox 360 usb gamepad for windows should look into this driver/profiler. http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html It makes all the buttons and axis fully programable, deadzone adjustment, and rumble support for games that feature it, such as the Need for Speed Series. I have Fable: TLC on pc but haven’t tried it with that game yet, but it should work much better than the clunky keyboard/mouse controls. WTF is with all the shitty ports. (thanks lionhead, capcom, microsoft, gearbox) Good thing we have the mod community. :)

I just got the game and I have a Profiler Software Rcoil gamepad. It has the mouse interface function, which works great for this game. The problem with the game is that you have to put certain keys at certian places on teh game pad because the has some keys that you cannont change: like the – & + keys. Also, some funcitons on teh mouse button cannot be changed such as when deciding yes or no questions in the game. Even if you did only use the keyboard in this game, they have made it the elast interactive setup in PC gaming history.

Using XPadder U can program keyboard commands to standard gamepad. Got it working and then shitty Lionhead garbage crashes and no patch in 2 fucking years. Incredibly Lionhead keeps the console save system so after the constant crashes u have to do entire quests over. I hope faggot Peter Moyneaux gets an AID”s infested red hot poker stuffed in his ass. Shitty fuckheads overhyped black and white bullshit.
