It’s Been A While

• Monday, May 29th, 2006 • 2 Comments

Oh. My. God.

It’s been a while since I’ve felt like this. I mean really felt like this.

Almost exactly a year ago. A little over.

The sudden on set of overwhelming loneliness, emptiness, and pain that overtook me at 3:30 AM took me completely by surprise.

At 4:00 AM I stood up, walked in a small circle, and [...]

Eels Live and The Difficulty of A Nonbroken Heart

• Monday, May 29th, 2006 • No Comments

Marlinda took me to see Eels tonight. The show was unbelievable, way better than their With Strings CD would have you know. It was practically a Souljacker era show, but even heavier and more rock oriented. Hearing heavy versions of songs like I Like Birds and nearly a rock ballad version of I’m Going to [...]

Blade Runner Gun

• Thursday, May 25th, 2006 • 1 Comment

I don’t often want completely useless expensive junk that just clutters up everything, but if I were to want something, well, this non-firing replica of Deckard’s gun from Blade Runner would do.

Ironic.. that there is a… replica… of the gun that Deckard used to… kill Replicants!

OMG LOL.

I’m pretty sure I just totally used “irony” incorrectly.

The Danger of the Hispanic Influence

• Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006 • No Comments

This article at Sploid on American prison statistics has an interesting little bit of data.

In 1990 Hispanics represented 27 percent of the prison population. Last year they were down to just 22 percent. At this rate whites will outnumber Hispanics by the year 2020.

According to the article, imprisonment for white individuals has gone up by [...]

Chatsum’s New Hotness

• Monday, May 22nd, 2006 • No Comments

Chatsum has just launched to another ~1,500 people, after seeming to be completely dead for several very sad months. Along with opening the beta up further, they have finally launched user profiles. For a good example, look at my user profile and tell me that it isn’t awesome. Because it is awesome, and if you [...]

The Problem Is Not Me, It Is You

• Monday, May 22nd, 2006 • 1 Comment

That’s all I could think of when titling this, maybe it makes sense.

I read something extremely, extremely offensive last night. It should be offensive to all believers in Jesus, even you freaky Christians out there. It really should. The following is a direct quote from Jamie Richard, an assistant pastor at… some place, somewhere. It [...]

Immigration, Part 3 - Fin

• Thursday, May 18th, 2006 • No Comments

After my last messageboard post, I didn’t think that OCsolace had a leg to stand on, at least as far as his “points” went. There are legitimate complaints about immigrants, don’t get me wrong, but implying that immigration challenges our national sovereignty and harms our civil rights are, well, interesting to say the least.

This is [...]

Courtly Love

I just read the wikipedia article on courtly love. That shit rules.

Also, I think Eleanor is an incredibly sexy name.
