Who I Am
I updated my profile at OKCupid to reflect a somewhat darker and more bitter version of me. I think it’s a lot more self-aware and probably a lot more honest than most people’s profiles on a (free) dating website. It’s a bit off, like mostly everything that comes out of my being, and I would recommend that certain people not click on that link (Hi, Mom!) because I just think there are some things parents should not bare witness to.
Oddly enough, the purpose was to try to scare away as many people as possible, with the idea that someone who managed to get through all of it and still wanted to message me would be someone already well aware of all my bad points. So, when I got a message from a ridiculously cool (in every way) girl living in Florida, I was a little surprised. We ended up chatting for about three hours and we got along fantastically. That was pretty cool.
It’ll be interesting to see what kind of response I get to it in the coming weeks as more people possibly see it.
Aside from that, not much else has happened. I feel better now about everything said previously.
