My Own Little Piece of UI Design
I beta test GameTap. A while back someone posted on the beta forum about a certain dialog box being confusing. I agreed, and instantly had an idea for a way that the dialog box could be made better. I drew it out in Photoshop, posted it to the forum, and in pretty much the very next beta build my dialog box was put into action. As of the latest production build, the dialog is out in the wild with real people using it. That’s exciting, I guess.
One of the employees at GameTap runs a blog called Angled Whiteboards, and has put up an entry with screen shots of the original dialog, the drawing, and the new dialog box if you would like to check it out.
