The Night Listener (2006)

• Monday, March 12th, 2007 • 1 Comment

Just finished watching The Night Listener staring Robin Williams and Toni Collette, two actors I like a lot. This will just be a little brief review because I am just a little too disturbed to write too much about it.

Robin Williams is Gabriel Noone, a late night radio host who shares stories based off of [...]

Tape (2001)

• Sunday, March 4th, 2007 • 1 Comment

First time there has been a film review here in a long time, so you know it must be super important. Enjoy!

Tape, directed by Richard Linklater—who really needs no introduction, is a nicely ambiguous little film. It’s one of those films that I watched without knowing what it was about. The little blurb on IMDB [...]

Oh!

It’s been a while. My best music of 2006 (edit – this originally said 2005. what the hell!) list is coming. I swear. I’m working on that one in my head. I have no idea how I’m supposed to pick a number one. In a year of overwhelmingly uninteresting releases, the few decent ones were [...]

See the Pin pipes it from the lowest scraper for Brad Bramish to sell, maybe. Ask [...]

Manderlay

• Thursday, September 7th, 2006 • No Comments

Tonight I watched Manderlay, the second film in Lars von Trier’s USA - Land of Opportunities trilogy. While Dogville dealt with issues of secluded towns of white Americans in the 1930’s and the evil that individuals are capable of when paired together with little to no outside intervention, Manderlay tackles the issue of African-American slavery.

Our [...]

Dogville

• Tuesday, September 5th, 2006 • No Comments

I haven’t commented on a movie here in quite some time.

Dogville warrants some form of speech. It’s been a long time since I’ve watched a movie that has really moved me, or even to where I said, “I should really own this,” but Dogville is one of these. It’s a peculiar film, being that it [...]

March of the Penguins

Good fucking lord, that was the biggest waste of time in the history of wastes of my time.
